Supra MKII - simply awesome looks and handling

Lotus with Colin Chapman was involved in the design (at least suspension). This was a time when Toyota was making great leaps in technology, and what better place to put them than in the Supra:

rack&pinion steering
semi-trailing arm rear suspension
LSD
cooled brake disks, 4-wheel disk brakes
turbo (Japan only at this point, with M-TEU)
Fuel injection also evolved, and the ECU took over the control of ignition timing as well.

There are a few minor differences in the body styling. 84-86 have the turn signals wrap around the corner unlike 82-83. Also, the rear sunshade is different (not all models even had one). Then there is the type with fender flares (Sports, regular type in North America),and the one without (L-type, British and some other European models)

1984-1986 no flares, rear spoiler (later style), 15"x5.5" pyramid wheels

1984-1986 flares, rear spoiler (later style), 14"x7" pyramid wheels, later style taillights
